If you recently got yourself a new dog then you must be looking for ways to train your dog. You can take your dog to a personal dog trainer or if you can, you can train your dog yourself. I have taken my dog to personal trainers, the training is inside a class and It was just too expensive for me. So unless you can spare cash for dog training then I suggest that you consider training your dog yourself, because it won’t cost you a penny and you can do it from the comfort of your own home and you often create a stronger bond when you do it yourself. However you must first learn how to train your dog, so you need to get yourself educated towards basic dog training.

Firstly you should start off with the 3 basic dog training, which are the good old sit, stay & come commands. Teaching your dog these basic steps will build up the foundation of the whole training process. And you should keep in mind that positive reinforcement can be very helpful, give your dog treats when ever they make progress while training. So just find yourself a nice calm environment where there’s no distraction, and command you dog to sit while you wave a treat above his/her head. Your dog will end up looking up and eventually sit down in order to get to the treats, It may take a little while but you should be able to see good progress after a while.

If you aren’t seeing any progress then you can try pushing your dogs rear down gently and as soon as they sit reward them with the treats. When the dog constantly hears sit it will eventually recognize the command and obey it and the treats encourages them to do what you say, that’s why this training methods always works. So once you think your dog knows how to sit you can then move on to teaching your dog how to stay while sitting down. This is where a lot of people have a hard time, however it just requires a little more time and you should be able to do it. And again this requires you to be in a calm environment and use the same methods as before.

Only this time you command your dog to stay as you start taking steps backwards, make sure your dog is paying attention, make sure you have eye contact and if the dog happens to get up then just say “no” and start the process again. This is why I said that it requires more time because your dog will often get up and you will have to start over but if you keep working at it and remember to reward your dog after every time he/she makes progress than you should start to see a difference in improvement. And when you think your dog has mastered this step you can go on to teach your dog how to “come” which is pretty simple, just use the same method as before and you should be fine.

It can sometime be hard to find good guides and books for dog training. And as a dog owner you need to have the best products to help train your dog effectively, And you must be aware of the bad training guides because they won’t do you any good. When I started training my dog I went through a dozen of books and guides, I remember when I spent hours reading and the information that I took in wasn’t very helpful. However now there are more options available to dog owners, It doesn’t matter if you can’t access a dog training school or a personal dog trainer.

Because now dog trainers can go on the Internet and find online dog training. You can enrol yourself in online dog training classes which will give you access to all the tips, tricks and techniques from the professional trainers. There are a number of dog training elements, such as dog obedience training, dog activity training and dog behavior training. The good thing about dog training is that it doesn’t require you to spend a lot of time, I personally don’t spend a lot of time. I have a great training sessions for 20 minutes per day and within that time we accomplish everything.

You can learn great ways to train your dog with the guides provided on the online training schools. I know a friend who actually is a member of an online dog training school and he sounds pretty much satisfied, he said it’s easy to apply all the techniques that you learn into your dog’s current training routine. Online dog training schools will often offer an 8 week training course, They will teach you how to train your dog with fun games to make the learning process more effective And a few of the things that you will learn could include learning how to make your dog pay attention to you, learning how to make your dog obey simple commands like sit & stay etc.

Along with all the things you will learn on the online training schools, you will find that in the training course will include extra things like dog behavior. This will help you a great deal because it teaches how to understand the way your dog acts which will help you determine on how to deal with your dog, and you will learn important things toward dog training such as rewarding your dog and positive reinforcement. Another thing that you will learn is a very great tip that will help you keep your dog off the house furniture, well it’s an obvious one because all you need to do is to simply cover the furniture with a blanket made of adhesive tape, it will stop the fur from getting all over the place.

As a dog owner you probably came across several methods to training your dog or if your like me than you may even have developed your own unique training methods to suit your dog. However there are two well known dog training styles and I’m going to be talking about one of those styles, I’m going to be talking about the dog training collar. This method is precisely what it says it is, it’s a very effective way to train your dog and essentially make your dog obey & follow your every command. The people who made the collar designed it for the owner and his/her dog to form a very Strong bond, a bond stronger than the owners can make on their own.

The dog collar training is basically an electronic way to train your dog, Some people prefer to use this methods and it definitely is effective however I prefer to use a different training style which is my own unique training methods and I also include the reward training style. When you create a unique way to train your dog it becomes a lot easier to train your dog, both you and your dog will have a fun and enjoyable training session and your will make faster progress. You must be aware of the bad training methods, because you end up on the wrong path which is a complete waste of time. If you can you should develop your own training methods because this will help you to connect further with you dog and create a very Strong bond or you can just try the reward training style.

Even thou the dog training collar works I think that it removes the natural reflex response’s between the dog and it’s owner which means you will have a less enjoyable experience with the training sessions, like I’ve previously mentioned. Training is meant to be a great experience between you and your dog and form a great bond, just don’t over do it, treat your dog like a true friend and have fun don’t force the dog. Make him/her feel valued and the dog will make things a whole lot better, I suggest you try the natural way rather than the dog training collar.

Overall we as dog trainers are not taught to go through any hard process that requires wearing a human training collar, We should follow on the footsteps of our parents and copy the natural teaching process that has works all the time. I learnt a lot of the my dog training techniques by reading books and guides and I even developed my own training techniques which is something I recommend you consider doing. If you are a beginner you should research and learn from great dog trainers, by books and guides with great value to help you towards dog training.

Dogs are really great animals to have. They are friendly and helpful creatures however if they don’t have good training then it could be a bit problematic, by this I mean your dog will be behaving badly and sometimes go wild. That’s why you need dog obedience training for your dog, it is highly recommended and will work out for both you and your dog because when you train your dog you will make him/her became a better pet. It will give you more freedom, you can relax and you will both live happier and I’m saying it from experience because I remember the days when my dog was a little bit wild however after hard work and training everything is great, And that’s the stage you should aim to be with your dog.

When your dogs goes off and behaves badly and does something on lines of destroying your belongings by ripping things apart or just goes to bathroom anywhere your dog likes, I have never had that problem but it happens to some folks however you can fix all that poor behavior. You can have you dog behaving good in a short period of time, and you can start by looking into dog obedience training. This type of training may not be the cure to all of your dogs behavior problems but I guarantee you will see a big difference in your dogs behavior. And an important factor in dog training is effective communication, so that your dog can understand and obey your commands.

And just because it’s training doesn’t necessary mean it can’t be fun, you should aim to make the training enjoyable for you & your dog. Trust me it helps by getting you both motivated to train effectively. I don’t know if you already know this but there are two popular & important dog obedience training styles, and the first one is the leash/collar training and the other one is reward training. When you compare both of the training styles you will notice that the reward training style is a lot less intense, I think it’s the best out of the two and for me it’s been very effective. In reward training is good because you reward your dog every time he/she makes progress and once you dog understands this they will always aim to make improvements to get the rewards which means the learning process will be a lot faster.

And don’t forget to praise your dog also because it’s just as important as rewarding. I have found that dog obedience training shouldn’t be too long just make the training sessions short and constant, because a dogs behavior can switch at any time. I’ve seen this happen before, A dog just went absolutely wild for no reason. Constant training is a very good idea and it will always keep your dog on track, it will lessen the chances of your dog behaving badly. I have been told that the key to stop or treating your dogs behavior problems is to find ways to teach your dog redirect his natural behavior at appropriate places in domestic settings.

You should always try to find new ways to train your dog because dog obedience training doesn’t really solve all of the dog behavior problem but it’s a good start and from there you should take your own steps towards training your dog untill you reach success.

As a dog owner you always want your dog to be behaving in a good manner, however sometimes our goods can behaving strangely or even badly and we needs to learn ways in which we can sort out this problem. And it’s not just you, I had to go through the same thing and I can tell you once your done you can relax without worrying about your dog. I have read countless books and magazines on how to train dogs but not everything what I learnt is true because some of the methods that I tried didn’t have no success with my dog, only a few of them we effective which is not so bad because at least I got to see some progress made. And I haven’t stop searching for new tips and tricks on how to train your dog, Just to show you how much I learned I’m going to through through some of the things I already know.

From my experience, I have learnt that it’s very beneficial to start training your dog at an early age so they, the training should start around 6 – 7 weeks of age. And even if your dog is at an older stage then that’s not a problem because you can still teach an old dog new tricks, well that’s what they say and fortunately it’s true. Just like me, a lot of dog owners always strive to find the best methods on how to train their dogs. I know quite a few dog training tips and these are the important tips that every dog owner should know. One of these important tips is that dog owners should always use the positive reinforcement method.

And you should always reward your dog, just throw in a little treat after a good training session and you could also praise your dog because when you do this it will ultimately reinforce your dog to behave positively and don’t go overboard with the commands you give to your dog. As long as the commands are firm but friendly then that’s enough, e.g. you can use a friendly voice when you command your dog to heel and on the other hands you can use a lower firm voice when you command your dog to stay & sit. Just makes sure you take your time and don’t over do it, I have found that simplicity is the best way to go when training you dog.

When an accident occurs inside the house it’s important that you don’t shout at your dog, you have to be reasonable which means you don’t do things like hitting your dog on the nose with a newspaper. You have to treat them better than that, And you must not punish your dog during training because when you do you won’t achieve anything positive, it will only make you dog became afraid of you and believe me that will set you back because your dog needs to know that you are their friend. And another great tip for training you dog is to use consistent training techniques, In the past I have found them very effective you will see good progress.

I have had my dog for a few years now and I can definitely say that dogs are really wonderful companions to have. And don’t worry too much about training because dogs are smart creatures they learn in a short period of time, just take it easy and don’t over do it. And like I said before it’s very important to praise you dog, throw in a few treats when they make progress and you will soon notice your dog making very good progress. And training shouldn’t have to be hard work all the time, make the training sessions fun and enjoyable because it would develop a great bond between you and your dog which is another very important thing.
